Looking for ways to cut transportation costs to and from campus?
Transportation Services is proud to offer several free and reduced cost services available to all faculty, staff and students.
Transit
Parking
- Park and Ride – Unlimited bus service to all areas of College Station/Bryan is not economically practical so a Park and Ride option was developed. Customers who do not live directly on a bus route may drive a short distance to an area where parking is allowed and catch the bus at the nearest stop. This allows access to all who choose not to purchase a parking permit. Park and Ride stops are located at Post Oak Mall (Route 27) and First Baptist Church of College Station (Route 34): http://transport.tamu.edu/transit.aspx
- Car Pool – Customers may ride together and purchase one permit between them to park on campus. Since vehicle registration is not required one permit may be purchased and displayed in any vehicle driven to campus.
- Ride Share – Transportation Services is proud to provide a FREE service where Aggie drivers and riders who need to travel near or far log in to find others who want to share a ride: http://transport.tamu.edu/parking/rideshare.aspx
- Night Parking – Privileges to park in unrestricted or plain marked spaces in other lots except lot 30 and lot 40 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 am are included with all valid TAMU permits. Customers needing to park only between 5:00 pm and 6:00 am may purchase a night permit at a cost substantially less than a regular permit.
- Weekend Parking – No permit is required in unrestricted or plain marked spaces on Saturday, Sunday, or days when the University is officially closed. Exceptions include the golf lot, 30, 40, special event parking and athletic events. Notification will be posted at the entrance to the lot(s) for these types of events.
- Break Parking – When bus service is reduced or not provided, customers with any valid permit, including night permits may park in multiple, designated surface lots during specified semester breaks according to the Break Parking Map: http://transport.tamu.edu/parking/maps/breaksummer.pdf
- Visitor Parking – If you don't park on campus often, use the paid visitor parking areas on campus. Rates are reduced in the evenings: http://transport.tamu.edu/parking/visitor.aspx
-
Pre-Tax Payroll Deduction Available – TAMU Pre-Tax Parking Deduction Plan allows eligible employees to pay for TAMU parking permits with pre-tax dollars. This pre-tax benefit is available only through payroll deduction for qualified parking, as defined by the IRS and established by TAMU. http://transport.tamu.edu/parking/FAQpermit/FAQpermitpay.aspx#apd
