Rehabilitation of Lots 16 and 54

5/27/2016

(Posted 3/9/2016)
PARKING ADVISORY
AREA AFFECTED: Lots 16 and 54

SCOPE OF PROJECT:

Howdy,

We are continuing with our multi-year lot renovation plan and are pleased to inform you that Lots 16 and 54 and the adjacent sections of Ross Street and sidewalks are scheduled for rehabilitation this summer. These renovations will include resurfacing, restriping and upgraded lighting. Beginning late spring, the project will also align the intersections on Bizzell and Ross Streets with the access to the parking lot to improve vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian access and safety in this area of campus. It is estimated this project will cost approximately $1.2 million and will take at least 90 days to complete.  The exact dates of this project are still being defined and will be included in our next update about this project. The work includes all sections of the lot and is scheduled at a time when the campus population is at a minimum to limit the impact on customers.

Parking during construction for customers with permits for Lot 16 or 54 will be provided in Central Campus Garage, Southside Garage or Lot 50. We plan to temporarily move Business spaces from Lot 54 to Lot 55.

Please share this information with your colleagues to ensure that everyone is aware of this upcoming project.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this large renovation.

Sincerely,
Texas A&M University
