Why am I receiving parking registration emails from Transportation
Services when I have not yet received an acceptance letter from the university or
have not yet decided to attend A&M?
|
Parking registration emails are sent to all undergraduate applicants since many
will attend A&M Univeristy and are anxious to know how to make parking arrangements.
The emails are not an indication of acceptance by the university. If you no longer
want to receive the emails, follow the link within the registration email, log in,
then click the option "I do not want a permit". This will remove your
name from the mailing list.

|
Am I required to register via the web?
|
All faculty, staff, students, contractors, service providers, vendors, and visitors
who would like to renew their parking permit should do so online. Students must
have applied to the University and have activated their NEO account. Faculty and
staff may contact their parking representative for assistance in registering.

What do I do if I am not eligible?

Who is eligible for disabled persons permits?
|
TAMU does not issue disabled parking permits. Customers may take medical certification
of disability to the tax office in their county to request a disabled parking
permit or license plate.
Customers who have a valid county-issued disabled permit or license plate (including
disabled veteran license plates) may park in any designated handicap parking space,
or any other non-restricted parking space, with a valid disabled permit/license
plate and a valid TAMU parking permit. Both permits must be displayed to
be authorized to park.
Disabled customers who do not have a valid TAMU parking permit but do have a valid
county-issued disabled permit or license plate (including disabled veteran license
plates) displayed may pay to park in any of our visitor parking facilities and make
use of designated handicap parking spaces or other non-restricted parking spaces
within the visitor facility.
The ONLY person authorized to park within the guidelines of the disabled policy
detailed above is the person to whom the disabled parking permit/license plate is
issued.

I am going to be enrolled for an out-of-town internship or
co-op program during the fall semester and will not need a parking permit until
the spring. What should I do?
|
Do not register for parking now. When you are ready to return to TAMU, email
parking@tamu.edu to request a parking assignment. After verifying your enrollment
in a university-affiliated co-op/internship for the 07C term, you will be assigned
parking according to your class standing and your parking preferences.
