The following text was emailed to all Lot 50 permit holders
Howdy,
As per your request, we have awarded you an assignment to park in Lot 50.
We would like to inform you, however, that Transportation Services is seeking permission to build a garage on the western half of Lot 50 scheduled to take place in early 2018.
As such, you have been issued a Lot 50X permit that is valid until early 2018.
Lot 50X permits holders will be required to park in West Campus Garage once the construction fence for the project is in place.
Once this occurs, Lot 50X permit holders will no longer have access to park in Lot 50.
You will remain on the waitlist for any other area you requested and for Lot 50 for the rest of the year, unless you are offered the option to change permits, or you cancel the request online.
The process of moving Lot 50X permit holders to their other waitlist selections will be ongoing throughout the fall.
Please note, Lot 50X permits will be activated for use at West Campus Garage only when construction begins in early 2018.
Customers who have Lot 50X permits will not be charged the garage permit price and will need to take no additional action.
Regular updates will be provided to you as details about the project become available. An alert will also be sent notifying you of the requirement to relocate to West Campus Garage.

Howdy,
As you may know, half of Lot 50 is scheduled to close in January 2018 for the construction of a new parking garage.
You are on the waitlist for a Lot 50X permit. If you are offered this permit, it will allow you to park in Lot 50 until construction begins, tentatively in January 2018.
At that time, you will be moved to West Campus Garage for the remainder of the permit year, without having to exchange your permit, or pay the higher garage price.
Log into your parking account now but not later than September 17 to evaluate where Lot 50x is on your wait list so you can decide to keep it as is, move it or eliminate it, if you wish.
Moving your waitlist order will not change your position on the waitlist.
Please note that if you remove your Lot 50X waitlist, you will NOT be able to add it back at a later time.

Construction of a new parking garage is scheduled to close the western half of Lot 50 around December 2018.
If you currently have a Lot 50X permit, you will be allowed to renew your permit, however it is important to note you may be required to move to West Campus Garage (WCG) when construction begins.
You will not be required to pay the difference between the price for garage and surface lot parking.
Some customers who register to renew Lot 50X permits may be upgraded to a Lot 50 permit (without the X).
Those upgraded to a Lot 50 permit will not be displaced during construction and can remain in Lot 50 for the entire permit year.
