MSC Construction
Due to the renovation of the MSC, Fun Run routes involving this area of campus will be temporarily unavailable while construction is underway. All routes listed below will still be available during this time.
3K Fun Runs/Walks
LV53 3K. Walk route to go
with LV44. Starts with runners, goes in counterclockwise direction.
LV54 3K. Walk route to go
with LV42 or LV49.
LV55 3K. Walk route to go
with LV45.
5K Fun Runs/Walks
LV18 5K Organize in lot 50. Cones are used to
block Polo Rd. Participants walk down Polo Rd. then onto the sidewalk by University
Dr. The rest of the walk is all on sidewalks.
LV39 5K. Travels
down Agronomy to F&B, down & back F&B, then back to lot 36. Barricade
crew will place cones down Agronomy about 8’ from curb. All participants stay
in that ‘lane’ to travel down and back. The group must arrange any coning
or barricading on F&B with the City of College Station. They will need to get
permission from the city. Post event, the group usually collects the cones for us
and stacks them by the Vivarium.
LV41 5K. Popular run from lot 97 to Research
Park. Run crosses John Kimbrough and continues on sidewalk to and through Research
Park.
LV42 5K. Popular run from
South side of Reed Arena. Starts in street on Chandler Dr. and goes in clockwise
direction. Runners can be in street until Kimbrough, and then must be on sidewalk
for rest of run.
LV43 5K. Horticulture Rd.
is closed for duration of run. Adriance Lab Rd. is blocked at the beginning of the
run and closed to one 8’ lane for the end of the run. Starts/ends on Adriance
Lab Rd at south end of lot 116. From lot 116, down Horticulture Rd to Discovery
and one loop around Research Pkwy. is 2.5K. From there, back to lot 116 is 3K (for
walk purposes.) Starting at lot 116, down Horticulture Rd to Discovery, two loops
around Research Pkwy. and back to lot 116 is 5K.
LV44 5K. Start/end at entrance
to Reed Arena between lot 102E and lot 102S. Run is in the road on Chandler and
travels in a counterclockwise direction. On the sidewalk on Penberthy and rest of
run.
LV45 5K. THE MOST POPULAR
ROUTE. It starts on Olsen behind Kleberg. Runners have until the entrance into lot
102 on Kimbrough (bike lane) to get onto the sidewalk and stay there for the rest
of the route. Groups like to use the little pavilion behind Kleberg/Heep for organizing/registration/post
event awards and door prizes. With the finish line in front of Reed Arena, it’s
a nice cool down walk back to the pavilion.
LV46 5K. Starts/ends in lot
73 behind the Medical School. In street on Horticulture Rd. for beginning of race,
Horticulture Rd. will need to be closed. Starting at Discovery Rd., rest of race
is on sidewalk, except on Olsen between Kimbrough and Kleberg. Run goes in bike
lane at that point.
LV47 5K. Starts/ends on Discovery,
down sidewalk on Enterprise (and sidewalk rest of route), around Research Pkwy,
up Kimbrough and U-turn back to Discovery.
LV48 5K. Start/end in lot
97. Similar to LV43 in that half of it is 2.5K. From lot 97 down to Discovery is
½ K, around the loop is 2 K. So, lot 97 to Discovery, around the loop, and
back to lot 97 is 3K. Lot 97 to Discovery, around the loop twice, then back to lot
97 is 5K.
LV49 5K. Starts in street,
Tom Chandler Dr. and Penberthy Blvd. Rest of run is on sidewalk in a clockwise direction,
ending in the entrance to lot 102E/S.
LV50 5K. Tricky route. Starts
and ends on Mariner at entrance to lot 110. Except for Mariner, run is on sidewalks.
From Mariner, east on Enterprise to Discovery. Discovery to Stotzer, across Research
Pkwy on sidewalk around Technology Loop. Back to Research Pkwy, across to interior
sidewalks and south towards Bush and around the loop. North on Discovery again to
Stotzer, but this time turn left on Research Parkway, down to Enterprise and back
to Mariner.
LV51 5K. Starts and ends at
Rec Center. All on sidewalks.
10K Fun Runs
LV36 10K. Starts and ends in lot 41. Clockwise. On the street in Research Pkwy, onto
the sidewalk at Enterprise Ave. Rest of the run is on sidewalks except for Barbara
Bush Dr. at the end of the run. Barbara Bush Dr. must be kept closed/controlled
for duration of run.
