Move-In/Out Parking Procedures

Temporary one-hour loading and unloading zones will be established in close proximity to the residence halls so that students may transfer their belongings between their hall and vehicle with minimal inconvenience. To expedite the process, and to allow access to the maximum number of customers, vehicles left beyond the one-hour time limit will be subject to relocation. Please keep in mind that parking regulations are enforced except on days when the University is officially closed.

Parking permits may be purchased online or at the Transportation Services Customer Assistance Center located in 108 Koldus. The center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Paid visitor parking is available in West Campus, Northside, Central Campus and University Center Garages. Any questions regarding parking or transportation should be directed to our Customer Assistance Center at 979.862.PARK.

Fall Move-In

During Fall Move-In orange barrels or signs will mark the designated loading areas and Transportation Services staff will be available to assist you and provide information. After the 1-hour time limit, we ask that students move their vehicle out of the unloading zone and into the lot designated on their permit (outside of unloading zones) or lot 100 and ride the free shuttles back to the residence hall.

Parents and other visitors who do not have a permit should also park in lot 100. The move-in shuttles will operate Sunday, August 23, from 9am - 6 pm. Break Service Route 01 will stop at these stops Monday through Friday, August 24-28, from 7am - 6pm. There is no service August 29-30. Visit our Transit Service page for more information.

Move-Out & Spring Move-In

During Move-Out & Spring Move-In, resident students may make use of the loading areas indicated on the map even if the orange barrels are not in place. After the 1-hour time limit, we ask that students move their vehicle out of the unloading zone and into the lot designated on their permit.

Visit our Transit Service page for information on on and off-campus service.

Please remember to take your bike home over semester breaks. Bike donations will be accepted at Goodwill campus drop-off sites during move-out.
