Alternative Transportation Student Worker

Position Title Student Worker I
Work Days/Times Monday-Friday, flexible schedule, between hours of 8:00 am -5:00 pm.
Major/Essential Duties of Job Assist with Alternative Transportation initiatives on campus. Duties will include executing bike program procedures, remove and install bike racks, car share monitoring, and other duties as assigned. Starting Salary will be $8.00 an hour. $15.00 an hour will be paid on Football game events only.
Qualifications Must have strong people, verbal and written skills. Must have the ability to learn and perform tasks efficiently and effectively. Must have a valid United States driver's license. Must be enrolled as a student for a minimum of 9 hours per semester (excluding Summer Session) at TAMU, Blinn, Sam Houston etc. Must work an average of 12 hours per week during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Must work a minimum of 7 special events during the fall and 1 during the spring in addition to the minimum of 12 hours worked per week. Transportation Services welcomes work study participants.
Preferred Qualifications Customer service skills are a plus. Experience towing a trailer is a plus.
Other Instructions Must be able to ride a bike. Lifting and moving bikes weighing up to 40 lbs. and bike racks weighing 50 lbs. is to be expected. Must be comfortable with power tools such as angle grinder, hammer drill, and engraver. May be required to provide class schedule.
Salary $8.00/hr (eligible for student employee pay plan)
