COLLEGE STATION - As the Aggies begin SEC play in Football this Saturday there are some steps you can take to make getting to Kyle Field easier.

News 3 looks at the Get to the Grid Plan at Texas A&M, and how some tech might help you travel.

With more than 100,000 people expected to fill Kyle Field for the matchup against Mississippi State Saturday, getting there could take some time. "Plan ahead, come early," said Debbie Hoffmann, who is the Associate Director for Texas A&M Transportation Services.

She says there are still plenty of options to park including 1,000 spots at Momentum Plaza on University Drive.

Shuttle service begins 3 1/2 hours before kickoff.

Texas A&M Transportation officials expect this lot to fill up again here at Momentum Plaza. One of your best bets is to keep an eye on real-time conditions by following @TAMUTransport on Twitter.

"We're updating regular and real time so that people will know what areas have gone full including Get to the Grid and location and where parking is still available," she said.

The Smartphone App Destination Aggieland has more than 35,000 downloads and provides campus information for events year-round.

"It has other parking areas and maps. We will have places for people who want to come to campus primarily in Research Park and in Fan Field for those that do want to come," said Hoffmann.

People can also park in Downtown Bryan, with a free shuttle from the Parking Garage to the Memorial Student Center.

Sandy Farris with the Downtown Bryan Association says ridership doubled from 500 for the Ball State Game to 1,000 for Nevada.

"There's plenty of free parking in the city and the county lots near the shuttle's drop off point. The garage is also available for a fee. It's just going to be a real busy weekend," Farris said.

For the first home game Texas A&M Transportation Services had a little more than 34,000 riders, the second highest number ever.
