Events This Weekend Could Cause Traffic Delays At Texas A&M

Officials with Transportation Services at Texas A&M University say several events planned for this weekend (May 10-12)
could result in high traffic in the area of Reed Arena and Blue Bell Park –
and offer some advice about minimizing congestion.
Some of these events include six commencement ceremonies on Friday and Saturday,
athletic events such as the NCAA Tennis Tournament and Aggie baseball also will be occurring on West Campus.
As a result, traffic throughout the area will be very high.
Officials urge drivers to use caution and allow for some delays when accessing this area of campus.
They encourage fans to approach that part of campus from the north for the fewest delays and to avoid the intersection of George Bush Drive and Wellborn Road,
and the intersection of Bush and Olsen Blvd.
Fans are also reminded that only baseball permits are allowed in the Olsen/Blue Bell Park lot, however, parking is available at the West Campus Garage and Reed Arena.
These areas may fill up during the graduation ceremonies, however.
