Make Parking Options For Texas A&M Home Football Games

There are more parking options for those headed to Kyle Field this season for Texas A&M home football games.
Debbie Hoffmann at Texas A&M Transportation Services says more pre-paid spaces were created this year for advance reservation. That resulted in moving game day spaces further away from the stadium. That includes a new remote location called Finfeather, located at F&B and Agronomy Road, off Finfeather Road in Bryan. That site as well as Fan Field at Research Parkway and Discovery Drive. Shuttles will be running at those locations.
As of Tuesday morning, the west campus garage was full but space was available at Northside, Southside, and Central garages.
Advance reservations can be made for each game or for the season by using the Destination Aggieland app or going to Transportation Services’ website.

As parking lots become full, Hoffmann says that will be announced on their Twitter feed, @TAMUTransport.
Hoffmann reminds fans that there are two new locations for the “Get To The Grid” park and ride shuttle. From Momentum Plaza at University and Copperfield, buses will run from three and a half hours before kickoff to one and a half hours after the game is over. And in downtown Bryan, buses will run between the parking garage and the Memorial Student Center beginning two hours before kickoff to one and a half hours after the game is over.
This week’s Bryan city council meeting included discussion about the Aggie football shuttle buses from downtown.
City manager Kean Register says maroon signs will point out more than 1,000 thousand parking free spaces owned by the city and Brazos County. That led to the council voting 4-3 against paying a rental fee to allow fans free parking inside the parking garage, which is owned by the Brazos Transit District. Register said the BTD was going to charge the city $5,000 per game and $5.00 per vehicle.
There was no opposition to allowing staff to research options for providing a tram to transport fans from parking lots to and from downtown Bryan businesses.
