COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) – As Texas A&M University prepares to kick off the 2018 football season with a Thursday night matchup against Northwestern State on August 30, Texas A&M Transportation Services has laid out a comprehensive plan designed to help fans navigate campus safely and efficiently.

“This year Texas A&M will host a Thursday football game, which means the university will host two typical days in one: regular classes and football game day,” Transportation Services Associate Vice President Peter Lange said. “Since this will not be a normal kick off to the season, we ask the community to be flexible, plan ahead and know their options.”

As Transportation Services kicks off their game day operations plan, the community is asked to prepare for the increased traffic resulting from the hundreds of thousands expected to gather at Kyle Field throughout the football season. Football fans visiting the Texas A&M campus this season are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the following services and resources available for the 2018 football season.

Things will be different on this day, so Transportation Services asks that fans plan ahead and know their options.
