Move-In/Out

Move-In Tips

Temporary drop-off zones will be established in close proximity to the residence halls so that students may transfer their belongings between their hall and vehicle with minimal inconvenience. To expedite the process, and to allow access to the maximum number of customers, vehicles left beyond one hour will be subject to relocation. Trailers are not permitted! Please keep in mind that parking regulations are enforced except on days when the university is officially closed.

Drive to your designated drop-off zone and drop off your belongings. Leave someone from your party with your belongings and move your vehicle out of the drop-off zone. Trailers are not permitted!

Pro Tip: Avoid on-street loading zones as availability is limited. Park in the lot or garage near your dorm designated for Move-In.

Do not move your belongings into your hall while parked in the drop-off zone. This will ensure all Aggies have an opportunity to move into their halls (yes, this includes you). Obey traffic laws at all times while moving in. No double parking; no parking in fire lanes.

Drive to your designated drop-off zone and drop off your belongings at the curb. Leave someone from your party with your belongings and move your vehicle out of the drop-off zone.

After your vehicle has been moved out of the drop-off zone, you may return to move your belongings into your residence hall.

Park your vehicle at the lot designated by your permit or in Lot 100 near Reed Arena. If you have a permit for 2024 – 2025 make sure the license plate of the vehicle you are bringing for Move-In is linked to the permit. You can do this through your My Account.

A parking permit must be purchased when parking on campus except in the lots and garages designated for Move-In days only, drop-off zones and the Reed Arena lot (100).

Paid visitor parking is available in the following garages:

  • Stallings Blvd. Garage
  • Central Campus Garage
  • Polo Rd. Garage
  • University Center Garage
  • West Campus Garage
  • Northside Garage (Free on Move-In Saturday and Sunday ONLY. Make sure that you do NOT park in a 24-hour reserved space)

If you are assigned a permit for Northside Garage, please make sure you park in an unnumbered space on the 4th floor or above. Individually numbered spaces are reserved at all times. Park in unnumbered spaces to avoid citations or towing.

Feel free to direct any question you have to any volunteer or Transportation Services employee, and we will be more than happy to assist!
