Beginning Fall 2025, all Texas A&M AggieSpirit bus routes will relocate near the Memorial Student Center and along Old Main Drive. This project includes the addition of bus shelters and a bike/pedestrian path to facilitate connectivity between main and west campus. Bus routes are being adjusted to add more on-campus stops to off-campus routes, to better serve off-campus student housing and to prepare for upcoming roadway projects, including the Bush-Wellborn Crossing and Holleman Drive and Jones-Butler Road projects.
A centralized bus hub will be created near the MSC, with all buses operating on Lamar Street, Central Houston Street, and Old Main Drive.
Bus routes will be grouped by the three regions they service:
This project reduces conflict points, simplifies transfers, and increases on-campus stops for off-campus routes, including additional service to the areas surrounding Reed Arena and the Ross Street/Engineering corridor.
The new bus hub will encircle Simpson Drill Field.
Enhancements along Old Main Drive include bus shelters and a dedicated bike lane between the Academic Plaza and west campus.
