Centralized Bus Hub

All on- and off-campus AggieSpirit bus routes will originate from one centralized bus location along Old Main Drive, Central Houston Street, and West Lamar Street. This project includes bus shelters, widened sidewalks, and a wheeled device path connecting Academic Plaza to west campus.

Pedestrian and wheeled device user paths will be separated from vehicular traffic to allow both modes to travel without conflict. The reconfigured travel lanes create additional capacity and unimpeded flow into Stallings Boulevard Garage with an added 3rd entry lane.

Campus Improvements Inspired by You

These improvements were carefully planned with input from students, faculty, staff, and key stakeholders. Guided by the Campus Master Plan (2017) and Transportation Services Mobility Master Plan (2022), the projects have been in development for years and incorporate feedback from the Transit Student Ridership Survey (2023-2024), President’s Capacity Study (2024), and President’s Student Experience Study (2024). Collaboration with student government, executive leadership, the Office of the University Architect, and other on- and off-campus partners has ensured these enhancements align with the needs of our growing Aggie community. Stay tuned for more updates as we bring these exciting changes to campus!
