The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents approved of a plan in January 2019 to construct a five-story parking garage and facility on the north side of campus.
Construction for the $78.4 million Polo Rd. Garage Project (PRG) began March 2019.
The garage opened to vehicle parking on August 15, 2020, and the building opened in spring 2021.
The newly initiated parking garage and building space is approximately 616,400 gross square feet.
This includes 1,680 parking spaces for use by students, faculty, staff and visitors campus, and 70,400 gross square feet of shell space for Dining Services (17,200 sq ft),
Polo Rd. Rec Center (26,600 sq ft) and Transportation Services offices (26,600 sq ft).
The Dining Services include Shake Smart, Houston Subs, Panda Express, Salata and a grab n' go store.

between Lot 50 and the Emerging Technologies Building.
