COVID-19 Updates

Transportation Services is responding to policies implemented at Texas A&M and across our community, state and nation. We want to remind you of options available related to parking services:

Transit


Beginning March 30

  • Modified Service: Mon–Fri, 7am–7:30pm
  • Weekend Service: Sat–Sun, 9am–5pm

We are constantly monitoring occupancy and adjusting service levels. Check bus schedules regularly for the most current information and real time bus locations.

No more than 20 people per bus

  • Enter and exit using rear door
  • Maintain distance from other passengers
  • If a bus reaches capacity of 20 people, it will bypass remaining stops on the route until it reaches the designated on-campus stop.
  • Transit will monitor and dispatch additional buses as needed.

Bus Cleaning

  • Extensive bus cleaning with products and methods prescribed by the CDC for reducing the spread of illness.
  • If you are not feeling well and especially if you are running a fever, please do not board the buses.

Parking


Beginning March 30

Modified Break Parking in Effect Until Further Notice

(Permit or payment is required; refer to the Modified Break Parking Map to see additional authorized areas for permits.)

Customers displaying their A&M permits or have paid by the hour may park in any of the lots on the Modified Break Parking Map, which includes lots normally authorized for break parking plus these additional areas: Lots 18, 36, 48, 50, 51, 62, 72, 74, 77, 85, 95, 97, 101, 108 and 123.

Moving In or Out of Residence Halls

  • Spring Move In and Out Map – No parking in Fire Lanes, at the end of parking rows, or in a manner that restricts emergency access or the flow of traffic.
  • One hour loading/unloading in areas designated on the move out map only.

Short Term Parking Available for Customers without Parking Permits

Parking Permit Returns and Refunds

College Station and Galveston campuses

  • As usual, you may return your permit any time before July 12, 2020 for a prorated refund
  • Return your permit electronically by emailing parking@tamu.edu with the following information:
    • Name
    • UIN
    • Photo of your permit (before it is cut up into 5 pieces)
    • Photo of your permit cut into at least 5 pieces
  • NOTE: If you return your permit, you will retain your priority based upon your classification as a student or employee, but you will no longer receive higher priority as a current permit holder when registering for parking for the 2020-2021 academic year. See Assignment Process

Citation Late Fees and Collections Suspended Until Further Notice

  • Please handle all business online in My Account.

We are closely monitoring and discussing this unprecedented situation and will communicate any changes to these plans as soon as possible once they are decided.
