What are some of the fleet services offered by Transportation Services?

We offer a wide variety of fleet services to the Texas A&M University community. These services include Long Term Rental Vehicles, Car Wash and Detail Services, Fuel, Maintenance and Parts.

What are the rental rates for vehicles in the Long Term Rental?

Rates in the Long Term Rental fleet vary greatly depending on the vehicle type and vehicle cost. Long Term Rentals

What type of vehicles does the fleet consist of?

The fleet consists of scooters, golf carts, small utility vehicles, intermediate sedans, full size sedans, police cruisers, mini vans, large capacity vans, cargo vans, trucks, box vans, large utility vehicles and ADA compliant buses.

Do you have 15 passenger vans in the fleet?

Yes, we still have 15 passenger vans in our long term rental fleet.  These vans are true 15 passenger vans and seat 15 people including the driver. These van are not available for daily or short term rentals. Departments wanting to rent 15 passenger vans on a daily or short term basis must contact Enterprise Rental a Car.  Drivers of 15 passenger vans are required to complete an online van safety training.

Where do fleet vehicles fuel?

Transportation Services has a fueling facility located on Agronomy Road. The facility is available 24 hours each day, seven days each week, 365 days each year and is equipped with 2 unleaded and 4 diesel pumps. All fuel purchased for Texas A&M University departmentally owned vehicles within the Bryan/College Station area is to be purchased from this facility. Fuel FAQs

Fuel purchased outside of the Bryan/College Station area, is purchased with a state fuel card (Voyager Card) issued by Transportation Services.

What maintenance services does Transportation Services offer?

Transportation Services has a modern repair facility capable of engine and transmission rebuilds and all other repairs associated with automotive, heavy equipment and small engines. The State Fleet Management Plan also requires that all state vehicles be on a Preventative Maintenance Program. Transportation Services is responsible for maintaining the program and scheduling all Texas A&M University vehicles for routine Preventative Maintenance (PM) appointments.
