License plate becomes permit for customers this fall

Beginning fall semester 2021, Transportation Services transitions to virtual permit parking. Cameras and license plate recognition software will be used to verify parking permissions. Your license plate serves as your permit, rather than a hangtag. Customers with virtual permits must register their license plate, pay for parking permissions, and display their license plate toward the driving aisle.

When is registration open?

Registration for 2021 – 2022 parking permits ended July 7, 2021.

How do I register?

Registration for permits can be completed in 6 easy steps:

  1. Log in to My Account
  2. Add vehicle license plate info
  3. Provide shipping address
  4. Provide payment method
  5. Select where you want to park
  6. Review request and submit

What lots can I register for?

Permit assignment and priority is based upon several criteria. First, you need to know what your status will be in the Fall 2021 semester when you order your permit.

Why can't I have the lot I want?

The lots you see during registration and your priority for permit assignment are based upon classification for students, months of service for employees, and the type of business you conduct on campus for vendors and service providers. You will only see the lots your classification is able to purchase. Student status (class year and residency) for fall 2021 will be pulled from Howdy and set in the parking system in July.
